FIS Completes The First CME Listed Fertilizer Option Trade

Houston/London – March 25th 2024 – Freight Investor Services completed the first listed CME fertilizer option trade, a $340 April NOLA Urea Call Option $5 Premium 15 lots – CME code; UGO

The new Option contract was launched on the 25th March, and the trade done is the latest addition to the growing list of firsts negotiated by the FIS desks.

FIS traded the first OTC option over a year ago and have continued to broker OTC options as they have become a popular risk management tool in the market and cooperated with the CME to launch this contract.
